Bought the waist belt initially so I can take my staffy x frenchie cross to a local beach. It has mud flats and her recall can be hit and miss but really want her to be able to explore more freely. I've introduced her to the waist belt and today we found ourselves going for a jog along our local riverside walk. It was great! So useful to have my hands free and enjoy a jog together, she looked delighted too! The beach beckons this weekend so will make much use of the waist belt.
After trialing several different brands, I came across Barkswell a couple of years ago and love the Canicross gear. I do long distance Cani-cross with my GSP. The belt is great and I love the quality of the bunji leads, the price is reasonable. I lost a lead and struggled to match the quality with other sites.
I then managed to find the website again and we just ordered two spares. I hadn’t realised they were a local family run brand. I really wanted to leave a review to say what good quality gear they have. I would highly recommend.
This lead was the perfect fit around my waist. Other makes I have tried have been far too big and bulky. This was so comfortable with easy access to a pocket for dog treats and poo bags and a larger one for my phone. The lead is very well made. Super sturdy which gives me great confidence when walking and running with my dog. Customer service was exceptional! Would highly recommend this lead and this company.
